Cheyenne, WY – The snowfall continues in the southeastern Wyoming today, with up to six inches in the mountainous regions. According to the National Meteorological Service (NWS), localized amounts can reach three inches in lower places. Drivers for I-255 must be prepared for slippery conditions and reduced visibility this morning until the afternoon.
From Monday, the weather will change, wearing a series of sunny days and warming temperatures. The tall will climb to the low 40 degrees east of the I-25, with the quiet winds creating more comfortable conditions. Monday and Tuesday will be characterized by a clear sky that provides the perfect window for outdoor and improved travel conditions.
NWS predicts partially cloudy sky until Thursday, with a 10-15% chance of the snow will return late in the evening. The warmest day of the week will be Friday, with maximum temperatures reaching nearly 44 degrees before a new opportunity for light snow. The morning low values will remain cool, falling to one-digit values tonight before warming up to teens later in the week.
Residents are called to clean the snow immediately today to avoid ice accumulation during freezing at night. If you are traveling, especially near the mountain passages, be careful and carefully monitor the road conditions.
The more relaxed time this week allows you to enjoy a clear sky and lower temperatures, making it a welcome rest from today’s winter conditions.
