Wyoming Highway Patrolman trapped in vehicle after collision – Oil City News

Casper, Wyo. – Lieutenant of the Wyoming Highway Patrol is involved in a major clash while seeking a worse catastrophe.

This is according to a social media publication from the Wyoming Highway Patrol, which states that on February 1, the Lieutenant’s vehicle was struck at Carbon County on Interstate 80.

“The lieutenant was inside his vehicle during the crash and was trapped,” the publication said. “He was transported and released from the hospital. He is doing well and is ready to return to work! ”

The publication refers to the Statute of Wyoming 31-5-224 and warned drivers to “slow down, to move”.

“The statute states that an interstate vehicle is moved to the most distant lane of the emergency vehicle,” the publication explains. “It also states that when you are traveling on a two-lane road with a certain speed limit of forty-five miles per hour, the car will slow down to twenty miles less than the published speed limit. ”

A photo of the crash shows the patrol car and what could be an even more tragic situation.

“For everyone’s safety, please be sure to slow down and move for all the stopped emergency and maintenance!” The post ends.
