Worth Draging Project for Maintenance, which will start on Monday, says Town – Yahoo

The Worth Lake Draging Project for maintenance and sand predominance will begin on Monday, said Palm Beach officials in a news message on Saturday.

EW ELLEFSON, cutter/suction deed, is expected to remove approximately 191,000 cubic yards of fragmentation material from the entrance channel and the precipitating pools over two to three weeks, the city said, with operations continue to continue 24 hours each day, seven days Week, until completion.

The dear material will be pumped and shielded on the adjacent beach just south of the south port of the entrance. “Passing” is the term used to describe sand placing in the south to maintain natural transport.

The beach construction activities, which include preparation, actual placement of dredging and demobilization material, will start on or around Monday and will be held for over five to six weeks. The construction/exit of the beach is Palmo.

Periodic closures of the lane can happen along the North Ocean Boulevard along the Palmo path as part of equipment supplies, the city said and periodic closures with one lane are expected to begin on Monday between Mockingbird Trail and Kenlyn Road. Full closure of the tape is expected for one to two days on or around February 26th.
