Working on Tamale Water Supply to Start – Minister of Work and Housing – Ghanaian Times

The Minister of Work and Housing, Kenneth Gilbert Ado, has confirmed the government’s commitment to launch the Tamal Water Supply Project.

As project feasibility studies have ended from The Ghana Water Limited, the sector’s minister said that the project’s financial details of the European Investment Bank (EIB) and other financiers will be quickly working to start the project.

The Tamale Water Supply Project, which has been under development for some time, aims to ensure a sustainable solution to the water needs of the growing population within the Tamale Metropolis and its surroundings.

The project is expected to improve access to clean water, reduce the frequency of diseases carried with water and improve the overall quality of life of residents.

Under the YENDI Water Supply and Extension Water Water Distribution, the Minister of the Sector further guarantees his intention to accelerate the feasibility reports for the necessary financial support from the EU and the EIB.

For its part, Razaaly expressed the EU’s commitment to support the development of Ghana, especially in areas such as water supply, agriculture and job creation.

He said that “the Tamale Water Supply Project is a key initiative that has been aligned with our goals and the EU was eager to provide the necessary support to ensure its successful completion.”

EU ambassador noted that EU support for the project was a testimony to the long -standing partnership with Ghana, which gave birth to the Urban Water Project in Tamale and Damangango, valued at 320 million euros.

He also revealed that the EU is launching a global Gateway initiative, which is a worldwide program supporting critical infrastructure projects, including other urban water projects.
