Women’s tennis is back in action Sunday at Virginia Tech – ETSU Athletics

BLACKSBURG, VA (January 25, 2025) – The ETSU women’s tennis team will return to action on Sunday when they host Virginia Tech in non-conference action. First serve between the Buccaneers and Hokies is set for 1:00 PM from Blacksburg.

It will be the third straight game for the Bucs against a Power Four opponent to start the spring season. ETSU dropped road games at Kentucky (6-1) and Wake Forest (7-0) earlier this month. Virginia Tech, meanwhile, enters Sunday’s matchup with the Bucs with a 1-1 record so far this season. VT fell in the season opener to Duke 4-0, but bounced back with a 4-0 win over North Carolina Central.

Since 2006 The Bucs and Hokies have met 14 times, including seven times in the past eight seasons. ETSU’s only win against Virginia Tech in that time span was in 2019 when they beat the Hokies 4-3.
