Las Vegas, Nev. (FOX5)-For decades, it was one of the premiere events for wedding suppliers in Las Vegas, the bridal spectacle, a one-off-counter to find to find photographers, places, DJ’s and more for the big day.
The event, which should be held in the center of the world market earlier this month, was abruptly canceled and the sellers claim that the organizer had disappeared with its money. Tuesday, Kim Pasot of FOX5 talks with local suppliers at another major event in the industry, the second annual wedding awards in Las Vegas.
“Bridal Spectacular was a hallmark of the Las Vegas wedding industry,” said Jason Wali, owner of Smash Booth Interactive Photo Studios. Whaley shared videos and photos from the past years.
“We would have had the opportunity to go and actually set our cabin for photos of the exhibition and commit to couples and let them try it there in the place,” Willy told his experience. Sondra Falk made thousands of dresses in the 30s in which she was a designer, including the dress she wore at the Las Vegas wedding awards. Specializing in wedding dresses, she wants to make sure that the brides in Vegas know about her.
“I started using bridal spectacles back in the nineties when the location was in Cashman Field, and I remember it was my first show there. It was amazing. There were so many people there and I literally had a business for two years and at that time I designed dresses in my garage, “Folk revealed. Folk attended the event every year, but when she heard she had a new owner, she decided to skip so that she was shocked to hear from this new owner.
“Apologies for the cancellation of the show and then she asked me,” Well, do you want to return your deposit? “Folk reports, although Folk has never made a deposit. April Soria did. Soria paid $ 2,200 for her Photobooth Company, Las Vegas Photo Booth and a friend who is DJ to share a stand. Soria for the first time went to the bridal grand as a bride and started her business there.
“The deposit was like September, October, and they were great in communicating with us until they took our money,” Soria said. On Monday, January 6, she received an email just days before the planned event on January 10 and 11. The email states: “Due to the circumstances beyond our control, we must cancel the event this weekend … We will defer.”
Fox5 tried to contact the organizer of this email address. The email bounced back. Our Oregon nursing station also covered another bridal show by the same organizer, canceled at the last moment this month in Portland. They talked to a supplier on the wedding site also thousands of dollars.
“What were your intentions? Have you been overwhelmed or have you had a plan to pick up the money and run? “, Darrell Hames, co -owned by the Carver Event Center.
The Better Business Bureau shared this statement with the FOX5 sister station in Oregon:
“Karin Webster … became the CEO of Bridal Spectacular in Las Vegas with a contract to buy the owner, but failed to pay or execute and cancel the bridal show in Las Vegas … We left a message for Karin, a letter, Asking if she is ready to respond to complaints/reviews and is waiting for her answer. ”
BBB recommends that anyone who is on money has filed a complaint with them and the Secretary of State of Nevada.
FOX5 has tried to call, sends text messages and email to the organizer. We will update this report if we hear back.
The Fox5 also addressed the center of the world market, where the bridal spectacle was to be held and were told there was no comment.
