Winterhawks returned to beat Seattle, 4-3 – Oregonlive

This is not a victory that will convince anyone that Portland Winterhowks has received its Mojo, but they are gathering 3 times from one goal down to beat the tired Seattle Burms 4-3.

Diego Butatzoni had the winner of the breakthrough game by 12:31 who remained in regulation. Alex Weyer and Tyson Junout had 3 points each.

1st 6:42 Sea Hayden Pakkala (Brayden Holberton, Radim Mrtka) 0-1 A very bad goal from Ondrej štually. Holberton in haste when Thunderbirds makes a change of line, just directs it to the net. Štually giving up a large bounce of Pakala. When he reaches the purpose of the skating to the corner, he throws the washer into the net and she somehow beats štually. Mrtka made a way out to Holberton to start a game.
1-th 8:21 Pock Ryan Miller (Alex Weyer, Tyson Junut) 1-1 The Jugnauth shot from the blue line is diverted by Miller. The scoring has it as a double deviation, Weiermair touches it on the way to Miller. Carter Soteran and Joel Plante also touched him during the game.
2 pm 2:53 Sea Simon Lovsin (Nathan Pilling) 1-2 Soterran is confronted with a loose washer on the Portland line. He hits Bradon Shurman in the face and goes to Pilling, who makes a brief pass to Huntin. Portland seems to have gripped the play, but when the firing of hunting štually, it leaves a bounce to the right of the body of Huntin and it enters. Shurman can receive an assist for the washer to get off his face.
2nd 6:39 Por Alex Weyer (Tyson Junut) 2-2 A great game of Weiermair mainly takes the washer into the network 1 to 4, touring Caleb Hartman and defeated Grayson Malino with backhand. Jugnauth carried him to the blue line in Seattle and let him go for him.
2nd 10:51 Pists by Navy Nathan (Simon Lovsin) 2-3 Lovsin steals him from Kaed Rudig behind Portland’s net, walks around the slot and shoots. Štually publishes another big bounce to Pilling, and he hands it only in the left circle.

Pre -game: Winterhawks are trying to jump from losing to Seattle on Saturday. Meanwhile, Seattle won Wenatchee Wild on Sunday, so they were looking for their 5th victory in a row. But they were on their 3rd game in 3 days and went to Portland early in the morning for start at 15:00. So a great advantage for Portland planning. Seattle launches backup goalkeeper Grayson Malinoos until Portland launches Ondrej štually for the 3rd consecutive game, although he lasted a little more than 7 minutes before being replaced on Saturday. Braeden Cootes, the best Seattle player, missed his 3rd game in a row.

1st period: Thunderbirds had an advantage of the 13-7 shot as the teams traded goals at a distance of 99 seconds.

2nd period: Seattle shot his advantage to 28-12 and led 3-2, but exhausted gas from there, not aid by a punishment for a match of one of their better veterans, Nathan Peeling. Portland tied the game of power games.

3rd period: Seattle really exhausted the throttle, and Winterhawks climbed behind them several times for Breakaways. They only got on one, but it was Diego Butatzoni for the winner in the game. Portland was not in many problems with protecting the lead in the last 12 minutes and received the victory.

How was it won: 1) Portland took advantage of Seattle’s fatigue in the last half of the game. The shots were mainly even in the last half, but Portland had a far better chance as it continued to stay behind the defense of Thunderbirds.

2) Special teams. Winterhawks went 1 for 3 in the power game, 5 for 5 in the penalty murder, with 2 in 3rd periods. 30 seconds after the first of these killings, Diego Butatzoni, who was in the field, received a detachment and noted what was eventually the winner of the game.

3) Save a percentage. Portland won it comfortably, but not because of the purpose; In this case, it was really about the quality of the chances.

Key section/moment: In the second period, Nathan Peling grabbed Ryan Miller by the head and threw him to the ice, receiving a penalty for a match and a violation of the game. And by the way, a trick with Gordi How’s hat. Portland received only one goal in the 3-minute power game, but Seattle missed piloting and this did not help their fatigue to go down with a key veteran.

Surprisingly: Portland had 10 players who had no shot.

Not surprisingly: Thunderbirds, with the 4th worst percentage of firing in the league, scoring only 3 goals in 39 shots and a loss, although he won the shots with 15.

Disputes: Cole Slobodian challenged a challenge after Miller’s game and received an extra 2 minutes by shortening Portland game from 5 minutes to 3. He didn’t jump on peeling, and Pilling could refuse to fight so I don’t really like it that call it S This seems to be a new interpretation and while players adapt, we will have many 3-minute specialties.

Braden Holberton hit Josh joined in the central ice during the 3rd period. Portland thought it was a hit in the head; No punishment was called. He could go in any way.

The best team won?: You can do a case either for or not.

Injuries/suspensions: Slobojian hurts his shoulder in his battle with peeling and did not return. It is a pity; He recently played better.
