Seattle – About 25,000 residents in West Washington are experiencing power outages as the winter storm extends through the region, according to utility companies on Thursday.
By the numbers:
At 7:30 on Thursday: Puget Sound Energy (PSE) reports the largest number of interruptions, with 18 493 clients affected.
Snohomish (PUD) regional utilities have 2383 clients without power, while Seattle City Light reports 536 interruptions.
In Cowlitz 1,246 customers are without electricity and Mason County Pud3 has 1.252 customers affected.
Utilities crews work to restore power as quickly as possible, but continuing severe weather conditions are challenges. Residents are advised to be informed through official channels and to prepare for prolonged interruptions.

According to the FOX 13 Seattle Weather team, the area should dry until the second half of the morning trip, with the sun on the way for the second half of the day.
Temperatures will heat up again by the middle of the 30s, which should help melt any snow or ice on the main roads until noon.
