WINSTON-SALEM, NC (WGHP) — A Winston-Salem man is facing charges after he shot and killed one of his relatives following a fight between the two, according to the Winston-Salem Police Department.
According to a media release, officers responded to a shooting in the 400 block of Peace Court and found 36-year-old Lomark Dean Cameron of Winston-Salem with a gunshot wound.
Cameron died from his injuries.
Darin Leeroy Perry, 59, of Winston-Salem, was arrested at the scene and charged with the following:
A WSPD investigation revealed that Cameron and Perry, who are related, were hanging out at Perry’s apartment when a verbal and physical altercation ensued that resulted in Perry shooting Cameron.
Perry is being held at the Forsyth County Detention Center without bond. His first court appearance is scheduled for Monday, November 4.
