Wilmington man arrested in drug investigation – Mychesco

Wilmington, DE -A Wilmington man is facing drug-related charges after being taken into custody by police during an investigation into alleged illegal drug activity.

On January 16, 2025, at approximately 11:40 a.m., members of the Wilmington Narcotics, Organized Crime and Vice Squad observed activity indicating suspected drug transactions in the 100 block of North Dupont Street. Officers made contact with Donnell Gill, 29, who was subsequently arrested without incident.

Authorities say Gill was found in possession of 4 grams of crack cocaine and .45 grams of heroin at the time of his arrest. He is charged with two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.

After his contract in the New Castle County Pleas Court, Gill was committed to the Howard R. Correctional Institution. Young while awaiting further proceedings.

Police stressed that all charges are allegations, and Gill is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
