Wilmington Children’s Museum to host adults only to raise funds for pizza – WWAY NEWSCHANNEL 3

Wilmington, NC (WWAY) – the Wilmington Children’s Museum brings back a popular event this Friday with a reversal of fun, food and games. “Pizza Putt”, raising funds for adults only, will turn the museum into a mini golf course and a beer garden from 6 to 9pm

Boet Bloomquist Museum member says it’s a fun way to help raise money for the museum to continue its mission.

“This is a long -standing tradition at the museum that we recently returned,” Bloomquist said. “We turn the Children’s Museum into a mini golf course and the yard becomes a beer garden.”

Participants can expect unlimited beer, unlimited pizza, 18 mini golf holes and additional activities, including raffles, a challenge for a mug master and a hole competition in one.

While the Children’s Museum is usually filled with families and children, this event is strictly for those 21 years and older. The funds raised in the evening will support the exhibits and maintenance of the museum, helping to continue providing practical experience in teaching for children and their care.

“Last year we had 65,000 visitors,” Bloomquist said. “This fundraising allows us to maintain maintenance and exhibits to work.”

Limited Putt Pizza tickets are still available and can be purchased here.
