Wildlife Watch: Nature Conservcy launches a biodiversity protection fund – WCAX

Burlington, Vt. (WCAX) – Vermont’s nature conservation has created a new $ 1 million fund for organizations across the country aimed at maintaining critical habitats at risk of climate change.

The Vermont Biodiversity Protection Fund is a new grant program designed to support land protection projects in priority regions throughout the country. The money will go to non -profit organizations and municipalities to help financing projects that maintain regional upper connectivity, maintain the biodiversity and cultivation of Vermont’s climate resilience.
