Why Luke Lognion splits with Live After Five – Greater Baton Rouge Business Report

Luke Logon, co -owner of about 1857, retired from his role as managing director of Live after Five Five Inc.

Lognion says he has ended his contract with the concert series in the city center due to creative differences. Lauren Lambert Tompkins, President of the Live Board after five and CEO of the Festival and the Baton Rouge Blues Foundation, says the concert series has experienced budget cuts from urban funding after the inclusion of St. George. With the new budget restrictions, the concert series want to focus mainly on local talents instead of looking for more expensive tourist actions, says Tompkins.

Lognion will continue as a director of the Batton Rouge Art Director and as a member of the Blues Blues Festival and the Foundation Foundation. In the meantime, he and Gareth Camp are planning to add a new concept soon by about 1857. Lognion also plans to help develop a full -time cultural event for St. George with a farmer’s market, an art market, live trucks and live music.
