Why El -Rufai missed a ministerial meeting in Tinubu – Renault Omokri, in a new publication, spills – within Nigeria – essence

  • In a recent interview, El-Rufai cut a bomb, revealed that the failure of his ministry in the National Assembly was not due to the disapproval of the legislators, but to the intentional move of President Tinu himself.
  • In response, Renault Omokri revealed his own version of the events and hinted at a deeper, perhaps more embarrassed truth behind the ministerial distress of El-Rufai.

Former spokesman for the president and outspoken social commentator Renault Omokri has invested in the drama surrounding the former governor of Kaduna, the failed ministerial appointment of Nasir El-Rufai, hinted that true story may be darker than El-Rufai wants the public to Believe.

In a candid interview with Arase News, his first after leaving office in 2023, El-Rufai rejected the allegations that the National Assembly rejected it during its inspection of the ministry.

Instead, he pointed his finger directly to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, namely Tinu himself pulled the plug, even though he had previously called him to join his administration.

But Renault Omokri, on a viral tweet entitled “On the charge of Nasir El-Rufai against President Tinubu and NSA Ryuadu on ARISE TV Today, did not join the El-Rufai story.

According to Omokri, the ministerial ambitions of El-Rufai have broken up not because of the whims of Tinubu, but because of his alleged failure to fulfill security checks, which, claims, is ultimately confirmed by the National Assembly.

Omokri wrote:

“On Monday, 24, 2025, Malam Nasir El-Rufai appeared on ARISE television and accused President Tinubu and national security adviser that they are behind his unsuccessful ministry nomination

– Mr. El-Rufai said, among other things, that “the president does not want me in his office.”

“Nothing can be further than the truth. It is a fact that President Bola Tinubu nominates Malam Nasir El-Rufai as a minister and, as required constitutionally, sent his name to the National Assembly to confirm the Senate.

“During the Senate Confirmation process, the National Assembly requested a security permit from both national and international security and intelligence agencies, and it was discovered that Nasir El-Rufai had failed his security check.

“He was considered a diplomatic responsibility for Nigeria, as on Thursday, February 7, 2019, Malam Nasir El-Rufai threatens the European Union observers if he intervened in the upcoming Nigeria Presidential elections that were to be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019

“On this day, Mr. El-Rufai said,” We are expecting the man who will come and intervene. They will return to body bags because no one will come to Nigeria and tell us how to manage our country. “

“The European Union examined this threat so much that they officially wrote to the Nigeria government to protest and publish a public statement by counting Nigeria.

“Third, the government of Nasir El-Rufai was accused of slaughtering Zaria Shiite on Saturday, December 12, 2015, where 438 Shiite men, women, children and babies were slaughtered in one of the worst violations of human rights.

“In addition, the government of Mr. El-Rufai was specifically cited for the demolition of the homes of its political opponents in Kaduna.

“For these and other reasons, Malam Nasir El-Rufai failed his security permit and cannot be cleared from the Senate of the National Assembly. He is guilty of this, not the President or the NSA.

“The Nigerians may recall that El-Rufai was not the only ministerial candidate to whom the permission was denied. Nasir El-Rufai and two others, including Danlads Sani, the Taraba nominee, and Stella Ombat by Delta State, were rejected because security agencies refused to clear them.

“None of the others has accused the duo of the President or his NSA. No. With the exception of El-Ruffai.

“Then El-Rufai withdrew his nomination and pointed to his former local government commissioner Jafaru Sani as his substitute.

“Nasir El-Rufai is bitter that his desire to be a minister was shaken and in his bitterness he attacks those who bring improvement in Nigeria.”
