Why 49ers could make a narrow end with the 11th choice this year – Sports Illustrated

49ers must prepare offensive and protective liners this year. But they also have to take the best available player.

In the past, the holes in the trenches made 49ers make Mike McGlinchi and Javon Kinlav over far better players in positions that 49ers did not think they needed at the time. They can’t make this mistake again.

Of course, if the best player available for 49ers is offended or protective liner, wonderful. But the project may not break so kindly at 49rs.

Instead, it is the best possible player for 49ERs to be a narrow end – either Tyler Warren Warren of Penn State or Michigan Kolston Lowenland. They are two of the top 10 players with the highest class in the draft according to NFL.com and the most model project project will be available when 49ers are on the watch with the 11th choice.

You can argue that 49ERS do not need a narrow end because they have George Kitel, who is a future hall of fame. But he is 31, he has only one year left on his contract and you do not know when his body will start to break up. It would be nice to have a heir to the list.

And even if Kitel maintains his current level of performance for four more or five seasons, why not pair it with a second elite narrow end? Elite tight edges are extremely rare and difficult to find and that two of them certainly cannot harm.

Something to think about.
