Where, how to donate new socks to Baton Rouge families – AOL

Baton Rouge, La. (Brproud) – Family Resource Group, Inc. Baton Rouge launches its 20th annual Sock IT Me! Holiday Sock Drive, passing in December 6th.

The campaign began when Amy Plaisans, founder of Baton Rouge Parents magazine, found that socks were the most favorable subject of homeless shelters and community organizations. So for two decades it has been their mission to provide new socks to people and families who need them the most.

The group partners with several local companies, schools, churches, organizations and the public library of parish in East Baton Rouge. The public can donate new socks by putting them in a collection bins located in each library branch.
