PHOENIX – Early voting for the November general election has begun in Maricopa County and other parts of Arizona, and from now until the polls close on Election Day, voters can vote early by either returning their mail-in ballots or going to a physical early voting location.

Is it too late to register to vote?
The deadline to register to vote for the November election is Oct. 7, according to the secretary of state’s website. If you haven’t registered yet, now is too late to do so and you won’t be able to vote in Arizona.
When is the last day to request early voting?
According to the Arizona Secretary of State’s office, the deadline for accepting vote-by-mail requests for the November general election is Oct. 25.
When is the deadline to return my ballot?

State election officials say mail-in ballots must be received by county election officials by 7 p.m. on Election Day.
“We strongly recommend that you mail your ballot at least 7 to 10 days before the election,” officials wrote.
In addition to mailing the ballot, officials with the Arizona Secretary of State’s office say people can return their ballot to “any ballot drop box, drop-off location, early voting location or Election Day voting location in your district on or before Election Day.”

As of Oct. 22, Maricopa County’s elections website shows dozens of places that are open to in-person voting and have drop-in ballot boxes or only drop-in ballot boxes.
