‘What the hell do you call that?’: Gilbert Arenas Livid on Doc Rivers’ Bucks Stint – The Sportsrush

After losing 99-122 to the Memphis Grizzlies, the Milwaukee Bucks are on a four-game losing streak. In what appears to be a continuation of last season’s poor form, the Bucks are struggling to find their footing early in the league. Former NBA star Gilbert Arenas believes Doc Rivers is responsible for Milwaukee’s current woes.

Arenas discussed Rivers’ record since taking over as head coach in Milwaukee Gil’s Arena. He then criticized the 63-year-old for failing to figure out a winning formula with two future Hall of Famers on the team.

He outlined how the Bucks were the No. 2 ranked team in the East and one of the favorites to win the title when Rivers took over in January. However, their record fell under Rivers and they were even eliminated in the first round.

Rivers is 19-22 since joining the Bucks, which ranks him 24thth league position.

Consequently, Arenas lost his cool after Rivers was seen bragging about how he had never failed as a coach. Agent Zero exploded, “You’re 24th in your last 41 games and Doc said he’s never failed as a coach, what the hell do you call that? What the hell do you call that… You’re 24th the best record since you coached this team.”

Arenas also praised Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard for doing their best for this team.

The Greek freak is averaging 30.4 points, 11.6 rebounds and 5.8 assists so far this season. He also shot an impressive 65.6% from the field.

Lillard, on the other hand, had a disappointing outing against the Grizzlies, going just 1 of 12 for his four-point performance. However, he is averaging 23.2 points, 5.2 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game.

But aside from those two, Milwaukee is a complete disaster on the floor.

Doc Rivers could potentially lose his job

Bucks are getting weaker by the day. Rivers was confident in his team at the start of the season. He claims they have had enough time to play together and understand each other’s game, which will lead to results during the season. So far, everything is different from his prediction.

Last season, the Bucks fired Adrian Griffin even with a 30-13 record. At this rate, Rivers will be lucky to get anywhere near that mark. Ultimately, this could lead to his dismissal.

Another problem to focus on is that players tend to leave their teams if they don’t see a bright future.

In that scenario, several rumors erupt about Giannis looking for a deal. The Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, and Brooklyn Nets are some of the teams frequently mentioned in the rumors. If Giannis does end up leaving Milwaukee, it will be seen as another blow to Rivers’ coaching legacy.
