What cities should a NFL expansion team get? – Yardbarker

Obviously NFL is doing well. NFL games win the battle with ratings repeatedly, with Super Bowl consistently one of the rare moments when hundreds of millions of people set up to the same live television programming. There is talk of the League to add another game to the graphics again, passing to 18 (and at its core ending the pre -season). So why not add teams to the mix? These 15 cities would make fine NFL expansion sites. In particular, we do not include London. While the London games are common, a team abroad remains impossible in terms of travel. Invent teleportation and we will talk. And don’t think Roger Gudel is not looking at him.

Austin

Wikipedia Creative Commons

This one feels like a non-brain. Football is huge in Texas, especially in Austin, House of Texas Longhorm. However, Austin could certainly be able to cope with a NFL team if it was provided with the opportunity. The city is the largest in the United States by population, which has no team in any of the big four American sports leagues. If NFL enters there first, it would be huge.

Fort Worth

Wikipedia Creative Commons

The Dallas-Form area Worth is massive. Obviously, the cowboys are, well, the American team. Jerry Jones would surely fight for a team so close to Dallas, but if New York and Los Angeles can have two teams, it can also be the DFW area. This is the fourth most relaxed metropolitan area in the country and is in the most crazy football condition of them all.

San Jose

Wikipedia Creative Commons

For years, the bay area had two NFL teams separated only by the bay. San Jose is a little more than San Francisco from Oklland. This is also a bigger city. As the city loses the population, falling below one million after the 2020 census, San Jose remains the 13th largest city in the country. Currently, the city has only NHL sharks.

San Diego

Wikipedia Creative Commons

San Diego must get a NFL team again. The loss of Los Angeles charges was sooner to raise money than in the city of San Diego, now until only Padres. He is far enough away from Los Angeles to be entirely his own population area, and this is the eighth largest city in the country. Plus, we bet a new team in San Diego would attract a ton of fans and money only from people who want to fall into the ownership of Chailgers.

Oklahoma City

Wikipedia Creative Commons

America’s settlements are changing. Some cities are already so massive and so expensive that some are looking to move elsewhere. The center of the country remains, relatively speaking, rarely populated. However, many enjoy urban life and as such Oklahoma City becomes one of the bigger cities in the United States. Actually entered the top 20 before the likes of Nashville and Washington (not mentioning the so-called popular Las Vegas). He manages to bring a team to Oklahoma City just before it is worth taking first place, he will have a license to print money for about five years.

Columbus

Wikipedia Creative Commons

Like Austin, Columbus has a massively popular college football team. There are already Bengals and Browns. Guess what? Columbus is a bigger city than Cincinnati or Cleveland. Due to the two NFL and Buckeyes teams, Columbus would not be a paramount choice, but it should definitely be in the mixture.

Tuson

Wikipedia Creative Commons

If a sports league has enough cash (and money) to think outside the box, it’s NFL. For example, they could bring professional sports to Tuson, Arizona. The city is 108 miles from Phoenix, so enough not to be enveloped from this market (which is also a massive market that can support two teams to be honest). Tuson’s population has risen more than 500,000 and the subway area is already over one million. Its growth slowed down a bit, so when it comes to pushes the meat may be the city in Arizona to go, but for now we would consider Tuson.

Albukerke

Wikipedia Creative Commons

What about the raid to professional sports for New Mexico? If the enchanting land will ever receive a team, it should be in Albukerke. It has a population on a par with Milwaukee and Baltimore, but with double ground. This means more space for the NFL stadium and perhaps a whole entertainment neighborhood built around the stadium mentioned (a popular idea to target these days). Plus, we hear that the problem of crystal meth in the city has decreased some after the death of a certain “Heisenberg”.

St. Louis

Wikipedia Creative Commons

Here is another city where his team took from him from Los Angeles (although Aries was there first). Now the city of St. Louis is shrinking with respect to the population, but the metropolitan area is still significant. Big St. Louis is the 21st largest metropolitan area in the United States. People come from the suburbs across the country for NFL games. Hell, New Yorkers go to New Jersey to see Giants and Jets. St. Louis has been part of NFLs off for years. Let them have another shot.

Boise

Wikipedia Creative Commons

Boyz, the capital of Idaho, may be the next city of Oklahoma. In this region of the country it is already the largest city. After the city’s population literally more than doubled between the 1960 and 1970 census, the city has grown from two -digit every census since then. Now the population center is still not over one million people, but we are not saying that NFL should have a Boise team over the next few years or even that decade. However, we will bet the Boise subway soon enough for a team and possibly the only game in the city (and within hundreds of kilometers in each direction).

Salt Lake City

Wikipedia Creative Commons

NHL was immersed by moving the coyotes from Arizona to Utah. Of course, there was already an arena, unlike the football stadium, except for the University of Utah, but one thing. As Salt Lake City has grown a bit, it is the capital region that makes it such a viable option. This area has over 1.2 million people and is constantly growing. If you include Ogden and Provo in the mixture, as some measurements do, then you look at the 22nd largest population zone in the country.

Birmingham

Wikipedia Creative Commons

Alabama is a football country. He just lacks the size and population of Texas. However, if the state receives an expansion team that was marked as a “state team” and not as a city team, it is well that the country’s population is over five million. We also imagine that every game in Birmingham is sold. As the largest city in the state, it seems that the city should go as an epicenter for the Alabama team in NFL.

Toronto

Wikipedia Creative Commons

Feeling inevitable NFL will cross the border in Canada at a time. An unexplored territory remains. With all their respect, all Rouges in the world will not buy loyalty to CFL if NFL becomes Toronto. And, yes, Toronto will have to be the first stop for the league. Honestly, it should be in the top three to extend NFL right now. The city itself has almost three million people in it. There is a reason why the Lonely Canadian NBA and MLB teams are in Toronto.

Vancouver

Wikipedia Creative Commons

What if NFL wants to add another team to the West instead? If so, NFL may consider Vancouver instead of Toronto (or with Toronto). The city itself has “only” 660,000 people and some changes to it, but the metropolitan area is comfortable over two million people. In addition, there is a pretty pleasant time for Canada, especially in winter, which is good given the NFL schedule.

Mexico City

Wikipedia Creative Commons

NFL has played several matches in Mexico City, perhaps as a test. It is clear that sports leagues are intrigued by the capital of Mexico, even if no one has already pulled the proverbial trigger. This is the largest city in North America. Allow this to sink. Each team in the American Sports League, which has reached the first, will become a team of the country in many ways. Even if we say, the fans of Tijuana NFL remain loyal to chargers, the population of Mexico City is only nine million in the city itself. NFL wants to be more and more than the Global League. A team in Mexico City would be a huge step.
