West Virginia State University received a grant of $ 125,000 from Coalfield Health – Lootpress

Institute, WV (Lootpress)- State University of West Virginia (WVSU) has received $ 125,000 from Coalfield Health for improvements and expansion to better serve students in the school’s medical and social work programs.

The $ 125,000 investment from the Chapmanvil -based non -profit organization was made possible by funding received by Aetna Better Health in West Virginia.

“We are grateful to the Coalfield Health and the Aetna Better Health of West Virginia for this significant investment in our nurse and social work programs that will allow additional opportunities for our students,” said WVSU President Eric S. Cage. “We all understand the incredible need for trained health professionals in West Virginia and this investment will ensure that the State University in West Virginia continues to meet this need.”

Financing will cover the improvement of the field for tracking, internships and clinical positions of WVSU students while using a clinical site management platform. In addition, the funds will help to create a self-service culture for WVSU students and teachers, while increasing the detention and better preparation of students for postgraduate employment.
