West Rodriguez’s Rich Rodriguez hires the legend of Pat White Mountain as assistant QBS coach – Athletic

Big Pat White in West Virginia has returned to his Alma Mater as an assistant coach and assistant to the returning chief coach Rich Rodriguez, Wednesday announced.

White, a former two-time player of the Great East of the Year offensive, went 35-8 as a counsel of climbers from 2005 to ’08. He placed Big East Records for Touchdowns responsible for (103) and the total violation (10,529) and was the first player in the conference history to throw for more than 10,000 yards. White was the first defender to launch and won four consecutive Cup games and led West Virginia to Oklahoma disorder at the Fiesta Bowl 2008.

He is the second star player from Rodriguez’s first stay as a West Virginia coach to join his new staff in Morgantown. In January, Rodriguez hired the former West Virginia, who walked back Noel Devine to staff as an offensive analyst. White spent three seasons playing for Rodriguez.

“It is really special to welcome Pat White back to Morgantown as a member of our football coaching staff,” Rodriguez says in a statement. “He has participated in some of the biggest victories in the history of the program and will be a great presence in our defender room. Pat and I have experienced so much together, and I am really proud of the quality of the coach and mentor of young players he has become. “

Former NFL selection of the second round, White bounced around NFL, UFL and CFL before withdrawing from professional football in 2015. He made numerous assistant coaching stops in the last seven years, including a two -year stay as an offensive assistant with Los Angeles, Working with receivers. White also spent time for staff in USF, Alabama State, Alcorn State and Campbell.

White appointed 19 schools, conferences and national records during her career in West Virginia and ranked second among the defenders in the NCAA haste chart of all time.
