Highland Park on St. As Fox 9 first reported on February 2, until April 12, drivers park on one side of the road and then switch sides every Sunday.

The director of the public works Sean Kershow provided an update on Sunday after the emergency emergency situation this weekend.

“This went very well in Highland and we will register with Payne Falen,” Kershow said.

“This allows us to get out of the parked cars, entirely to the other curb that we don’t always have to do,” he explained.

Changes don’t make everyone happy.

“It feels like too much that he is trying to achieve the goal they have, which has clean streets,” commented 13-year-old St. Paul Mark Heg resident.

“Instead of parking where you want on both sides of the street. [Now] You switch sides every week so you are not allowed to park in front of your own house, – HEG continued. “It’s almost [like] A snowy emergency situation every week where you need to get out and move your car or get a ticket. “

On Sunday, the city said the compliance was improving. On February 3, they counted 26 cars parked incorrectly in Highland Park, and 160 cars parked incorrectly in Payne Falen. By February 7, 0 cars were parked in Highland Park incorrectly and 61 cars parked incorrectly at Payne Phalen.

The city is now planning to measure the amount of snow on the roads to compare efficiency in pilot areas with the rest of the city.
