Reno, Nev. (Kolo) – The We People team at Reno High School took first place in the state competition in Nevada.

The competition was held at UNLV in Las Vegas. The team will now represent the silver state of the National Competition in Lisburg, Virginia. Reed, sloping high schools and Galena also competed, with Reed in fourth place.

“This group of 26 students rose to the occasion after receiving second place in the District Competition in December,” says Richard Clark, a social research teacher at the Renault High School, who also teaches the We People class. “They worked extremely hard and were rewarded for their efforts. I’m so proud of them – they won this. “
