Ohio Senator and Republican Vice Presidential candidate JD Vance held a campaign rally at the Silver Legacy Resort on Wednesday.
Earlier in the day, Vance campaigned in Las Vegas, where he discussed topics including housing and immigration, promising stronger border security under the Trump administration.
Senator Vance’s visit comes as both parties continue to visit battleground states ahead of the general election.
His running mate, former President Donald Trump, held a town hall in Georgia.
Harris for President Nevada Press Secretary Amahri Archie released the following statement in response to JD Vance’s planned visit to Nevada:
“JD Vance and Donald Trump are fighting for their billionaire donors, not working families in Nevada. Their Project 2025 agenda would raise costs for the typical family by nearly $4,000 a year, cost the U.S. more than 3 million jobs, and allow employers to stop paying many workers overtime while giving tax breaks to its billionaire donors . To protect Nevada workers and families, we must come together to elect a Vice President Harris who will not only eliminate tip taxes, but go further by raising the minimum wage and standing up to corporate employers to reduced housing costs across the state.
