THIS is the moment a young girl outwitted a freak accused of trying to lure her into his car.
Disturbing footage captured by a doorbell camera shows a car pulling up next to the 14-year-old schoolgirl and the driver trying to engage her in conversation.
Isaiah Navarro, 37, stopped the teenager on her way home from school, asking her for directions to the nearest McDonald’s.
Police say when she refused his request to get in the car, Navarro asked for her phone number.
Then the unidentified 14-year-old girl had the bright idea to agree, but to give him her mother’s number.
This led to his capture in Glendale, Arizona after explicit texts were sent.
Authorities said that after the incident, Navarro texted the number asking the girl to make a horrible appearance sex acted on him repeatedly and asked to meet her.
Cops say Navarro started the text conversation thinking it was the teenager, but it was actually her mother’s phone — and she quickly alerted cops.
Thinking he was still talking to the girl, cops say he sent a series of disturbing text messages, including asking for her photos and to keep their conversation private.
He texted, “Can you save the conversation between me and you?”
Authorities sent a message as a teenager to make it clear she was a minor, saying, “My mom will be mad and so will my dad, I’m only 14.”
However, this fact was quickly dismissed with the simple response, “Got it.” Are you ready to talk on the phone?
Officials with the Glendale Police Department said, “The conversation became increasingly graphic with Navarro describing and asking about specific sexual acts without any regard for the victim’s age.”
During the call, they said Navarro repeatedly asked to meet the teenager, calling the phone up to 30 times.
Investigators said they picked a meeting spot soon after.
A spokesman said: “Instead of the 14-year-old young lady, Navarro was met with handcuffs and was arrested.”
The child was praised on social media for his genius move.
One person wrote: “Very clever!!! What an amazing young lady, mother and police department on how everyone handled this situation.
“These predators must be taken off the streets and kept away from vulnerable young people in every community!”
Another said: “Good job young lady. Quick thinking and glad you’re safe.’
The police the department also praised the girl.
A spokesman said: “Here is a prime example of a young lady who thought quickly and did the right thing!
“We in Glendale Police The department salutes this young lady for her courage and smart thinking!”
Navarro faces charges of luring a minor for sexual exploitation.
He is being held on $250,000 (£192,640) bail.
