The member of the National Transport Safety Council (NTSB) Todd Inman gives an update to the Washington plane crash.
He begins by thanking emergency persons for their efforts and then continues to say that the board has a certified Black Hawk pilot for staff.
“We have brought this member and they are in place, providing direct technical assistance to NTSB,” he says.
“We have our own Certified Black Hawk pilot in the helicopter working group.”
As for rescue operations, he says the barges are on the route and “we expect them to be seen early tomorrow morning.”
“After arrival, they will be secured and then significant rescue operations will continue – this will be the main lift,” he says.
He continues to say that there are “two different debris fields.”
“Based on initial mapping, there are large pieces that will be easily restored,” he adds.
He continues to emphasize that NTSB will not release a manifesto – a list of passenger names.
“It will not be included in our report and we will not provide victim names,” he adds.
“This will come from people or groups.”
