The work done by the Warminster Ivyland Collision shop on a classic car earns it first place on a national list of automotive excellence.
HotCars.com celebrates the Buick Gran Sport, listing one restored by a Bucks County body shop as the ultimate example of a muscle car makeover.
The 1960s and 1970s marked the era of muscle cars, those watered-down, super-cool, roaring, shiny machines that were equally slick on city streets or drag strips.
The 1969 Buick Gran Sport took the #1 spot on the website’s list of revived beauties. The job of resurrecting it was done by Nick Servo of Ivyland Collision and Restoration in Warminster, who turned it from “deteriorated” to dazzling.
Combining speed and chic, muscle cars poured out of Detroit from almost every manufacturer in the automotive industry. Their heyday began to wane in the 1970s with the sharp and sudden rise in gasoline prices.
Since then, the restoration of these beauties in the hands of serious collectors has saved them from the automotive graveyard.
