Virginia Tech Men’s Basketball: Hokies Run a Great Victory in South Band – Fighting Gobbler

The victories of the road conference are GOLD, and the Virginia Tech men’s basketball team detains Marcus Burton and Notre Dame, struggling with Irish 65-63 in South Band, Saturday in Indiana, to win their third ACC right game away from Cassell Coliseum.

Aesthetically speaking, the game was not something of beauty. Two of the better three-point shooting teams in the country started combined 0-for-the-way beyond the arc and ended the game 9-for-48 (18.8%). They also made 30 turnover, 13 for technology and 17 for Notre Dame. But Hocky was hanging around all afternoon, leaning on solid defense and balanced evaluation to remain at a striking distance.

Both teams began the game slowly with their offensive flow and shooting. The hockey took a lot more time to break out by Notre Dame. Tech started the game 2-for-15 of the pitch with four rpm in the first ten minutes. The Irish pushed their lead to 14 points, with 10:18 staying in the first half and threatening to blow up the game open.

An early turning moment came to the 9:09 brand, when employees called a technical foul at the Irish Guard Julian Ropper II for some extracurricular activity during a loose ball scandal on the floor. Jaden Shut made both technically free throws, followed by Tyler Johnson’s short hook and a joke that limited the mini-hedda for Hocky. Tech uses the defense paired with a slightly better shooting to cut the notre Dame’s lead to one, 27-26 after Tyler Johnson Three with 2:40 to the left. Tech dried a little in the halftime declining minutes, and the Irish led 33-26 in the break.

The Virgin Mary did not look great at the beginning of the second half, as in the first three and a half minutes they picked up five fouls, including the fourth guard Ben Hammond. The problem with Hammond’s Faul and still 100% leg put it on the bench instead of Brandon Rechtener for the rest of the game.

As much as they tried, Tech could not allow Burton’s assessment, but he left the game in a few minutes due to cutting over his eye and Tech fucked to fuck the Irish lead. Tobi Lawal’s Follow Dunk with 3:06 left in the game gave Tech his first lead after Lawal Dunk 41 seconds in the race. Ben Bernham followed a large threesome in the two -minute brand to push the lead to four.

From there, a Rechteiner, who struggles from the pitch all day, made seven of the eight free throws to seal the game and give a great victory to the Tech. Lawal LED Tech with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Rechsteiner had 12 and Burnham had 10 for technology. Burton’s foot of the Irish with 23.

With the victory, Hokies moved to 6-7 to ACC, good for the eighth in the league of this writing. Notre Dame dropped to 4-8 in the league. Tech has such a necessary vacation in the middle of the week before hosting Virginia next Saturday from 2:00 pm.
