Charlottesville, Washington – Due to a big snow and ice storm that is expected to influence Virginia this week, the League of the Virginia High School announced on Monday changes in the schedule for the national championships this weekend in the fight, gymnastics and swimming and diving. The changes come as meteorological concerns prompt change to ensure the safety of all athletes and viewers.

The wrestling tournament will now be held as a one -day event of SaturdayEliminating the planned race on Friday. The tournament will be held in two places:

• Virginia Beach Sports Center For classes 4, 5 and 6.
• SALEM CIVIC CENTER For classes 1, 2 and 3.

The competition will start at 8 am in both placesWith planned medal circles for:

• Virginia Beach: 19:15
• Salm: 20:30

The gymnastics competition will be held on High School on Lake Braddok In Burke, Virginia. The updated schedule for Saturday and Sunday Includes:

• Class 6 team competition: Starts at 11am on Saturday.
• Classes 1-5 team competition: Begins at 15:00 on Saturday.
• Individual Championships for all classes: 11 am on Sunday.

Swimming and diving events will happen in three different places in the state:

• Jeff Rouse Swim and Sport Center in Stafford for classes 6 and 5.
• Christiannsburg For classes 4 and 3.
• Richmond For classes 2 and 1.
