Virginia Henry Virginia Ruth Davis Henry, born July 7, 1942, known to family and friends as Tommy, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She fell asleep in this world and woke up to her Lord in heaven. Finally she went home where her family was waiting to welcome her. She was a devoted and caring wife to Mac, a fierce and loving mother to Mark, a present and steady guide to her daughter-in-law Joan, and a busy, caring and steadfast Grammy to Joseph. Her gentle and peaceful presence will be missed by those who had the honor of having her in their lives. If you knew Virginia, you knew she never complained-no through multiple cancer battles, other health issues. Even in her life with Alzheimer’s she didn’t make a single complaint about not crossing her lips. If you ever ask him if he needs anything, her constant response will be “heavens no!, don’t worry about me. I’m fine. ” In a world where everything is a complaint, she was a constant compliment. That was her superpower. May she now have all the peace, rest, joy, laughter, and of course, ice cream, she so richly deserves. As we board one of those strong Virginia pats on the back, we’ll keep you in our hearts. We’ll find you in the sunrises and sunsets and all the moments in between. There will be a graveside service for Virginia on Monday, January 27th. Jan. 27 at 11 a.m. at Chattanooga Memorial Park (Duck Pond) with the Rev. Bill Harvey officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in Virginia’s honor.Arrangements are in care of the North Chapel Chattanooga Cremator & Florist 5401 Hixson Highway Please share your thoughts and memories at www.chattanooganorthchapel.com
