Young people and young adults – are often called in the church as the rising generation – face challenges unique to every generation that precedes them. The Church of Jesus Christ of the Saints of the last days has invested in support and strengthening of the youth since its foundation in 1830.

In his role as chairman of the Executive Committee of the Board of Trustees of the Church Education System, Elder D. Todd Christofson of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles sees the fruits born of this growing generation regularly.

“We are doing our best to invest in them and help them succeed,” Elder Christophesson said in a recent News News interview.

Elder Christophesson has joined the Church Education Commissioner, Elder Clark G. Gilbert. The elder Gilbert is also seventy -seventy.

As he worked with these young people and young adults, he concluded that he hoped others would embrace.

“To all of us who love and admire and who work with young adults and young people, we trust them,” said the elder Gilbert.

Both the Elder Christophesson and the Elder Gilbert talk about how important the role of this growing generation is before the second coming of Jesus Christ in a new video of church news entitled “Trust in Youth.”
