West Bend, Wi-United Way of Washington County proudly announces the successful conclusion of its annual campaign, with a record destructive $ 1,902,252, raised to support local programs and initiatives.

The campaign in 2024 gathered generous persons, corporate partners and public organizations from all over the county to have a significant impact.

“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who has contributed to this campaign,” said Amanda Novotteni, co -chairman of the campaign. “From the hard work of our volunteers to the generosity of our donors, we are humbled by the community’s commitment to improve life. These funds will directly support programs and initiatives that will help local people and strengthen families. “

Individual and leadership gifts of $ 1,200 or more are the main engine of growth in the campaign. A special gift was celebrated in honor of Betty Nelson, a favorite philanthropist, who died last year, and her late husband Cliff. Brothers and sisters agreed to pay honor and pay her forward with a hereditary gift.

“As you probably know, Cliff and Betty, as they were known to so many people, lived a rewarding life in West Band,” said son Jim Nelson. “As I thought about their lives, their generation endured the deep experience of living through the Great Depression and World War II.
