[VIDEO] New Windsor ‘BBQ Brothers’ get celebrity chef moniker – WRRV

It’s not every day that a major celebrity chef calls out a Hudson Valley-based business… or is it?

Over the past few years, the Hudson Valley food scene has continued to receive major recognition from some of the biggest names in the industry. We highlighted local chefs and restaurant owners as they battled it out on Food Network shows like Chopped and some of the more well-known baking shows, and watched shows like Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and Restaurant Impossible visit some of our favorite local establishments.

Speaking of Restaurant Impossible, maybe you’re familiar with its host, Robert Irvine?

Robert Irvine shows Brothers BBQ Major Love

Recently, 2024 [Food Network] The New York Food and Wine Festival was in town and our very own Brothers BBQ, yes, the highly regarded New Windsor location, was featured at the festival.

Well, it looks like their time at the NYCWFF (serving up their pork sliders) was well worth it, as legendary chef Robert Irvine himself gave The Brothers a big thumbs up, which you can watch below:

As for the experience, the Farella brothers call Chef Irvine “a wholesome good soul..”

He was having fun on stage as usual. Calm and kind to those who want to meet him afterwards. Special thanks to @nycwff for hosting us! People couldn’t get enough of our pork slides.

Where can you try Brothers Barbecue Pork Sliders (and more)?

The Farella brothers currently have three locations that serve their family recipes that were originally developed during their childhood in OBX. Growing from their first location, a 1,200-square-foot barbecue shack that was actually destroyed by fire, to their first 100-seat restaurant and eventually branching out to Ramsey, NJ and home to ThEATery in Palisades Center, the brothers have certainly made a name for themselves both locally and in the barbecue world.

So if Robert Irvine tells us we should try it, if we haven’t… what are we waiting for?
