The Cleveland Cavaliers are arguably the hottest team in the league this season and are led by Donovan Mitchell that makes a statement this season. His most recent performance against the Milwaukee Bucks is a testament to his all-star status.

With Donovan Mitchell leading the way, the Cavs went undefeated and that streak was in danger of ending if not for Speeda’s game-winning shot with less than a second left against the Milwaukee Bucks. He spoke to reporters after the game and gave his honest response to his first game-winning shot.

Am I wrong? I thought so. I think so. Maybe it was my first… My definition of a game winner was like this. I could have given us the lead with 10 seconds to go.

Donovan Mitchell told reporters after the game:

It was a sad night for the home fans as the Bucks got off to a hot start and led by 16 points in the first quarter, but the Cavaliers chipped away at the lead and eventually took control in the closing possessions of the second quarter. The final 24 minutes were a back-and-forth game, with 17 lead changes in the second half alone.

star player Damian Lillard had given the Bucks a one-point lead with 9.8 seconds to play, but Mitchell made the save with a clutch layup. He finished the game with 30 points, three rebounds and four assists, shooting 44 percent from the field and 50 percent from behind the arc.

Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lillard proved they really have some chemistry and also put in strong performances, scoring 34 and 41 points, respectively. It just wasn’t their night.

Donovan Mitchell’s rise to Cleveland Cavaliers glory

Without a doubt, Donovan Mitchell has been a game changer for the Cleveland Cavaliers since his arrival. This season, he led the Cavs to a 7-0 start, second best in franchise history.

This led him to be ranked as one of the best players the team has ever had. He even did what was impossible after the departure of the fan favorite, LeBron James.

What’s more, his individual success is just as impressive. He recently tied Kyrie Irving’s franchise record for 30-point games with 54, and even accomplished that feat in just three seasons and 145 games.

It took Uncle Drew six seasons and 433 games to reach the same mark. And Mitchell is now on pace to pass Irving and move into third place in franchise history.
