By james art Former Countdown star Vorderman, 63, said he would not continue with his radio show last month after suffering “burnout” from seven-day work weeks.
In an Instagram video, Vorderman said she had a “tight feeling in my chest and was completely exhausted” but “after lots of scans and checks we know I don’t have any underlying health problems”.
Feltz, 62, joined LBC in May and presents a Saturday afternoon show offering opinion, analysis and deep dives into what matters to the British public.
She said: “I can’t wait to have a meeting at the weekend to listen. I’m looking forward to hosting Britain’s biggest and liveliest conversation with my wonderful LBC listeners every Saturday and Sunday afternoon.”
Tom Cheal, senior managing editor at LBC, said: “Vanessa has quickly made her mark on LBC’s programming since joining the station in May.
“She is a genuine, candid and insightful broadcaster who has proved incredibly popular with LBC listeners and knows what really matters to them, so we are thrilled to announce her new Sunday show.”
Vorderman joined LBC to host its new 4-7pm Sunday program in January.
It comes two months after the TV presenter quit her BBC radio show, saying she was “not ready to lose my voice” after the corporation introduced new social media guidelines.
Wardman was vocal in her criticism of the previous government on social media and had several spats on X, formerly Twitter, with Tory MPs.
She said management decided she would quit her Saturday morning show on BBC Radio Wales because of a breach of guidelines.
Feltz hosts Saturday and Sunday, 3pm to 6pm, on LBC and Global Player.
