Vanderbilt entered the women’s basketball top 25 of the Associated Press on Monday in No. 23, his first ranking for more than a decade, while Texas returned to the top five, and the Ohio and Duke State jumped back into the top 10.
The Vanderbitz team of Shea Ralph has been in the poll for the first time since February 10, 2014 and has two wins over ranked teams for the first time since 2015-16. The comomodors surpassed then. 19 Alabama on Sunday as Crimson Tide was one of the dozen teams that they lost last week.
The four best teams remained the same as Ucla, South Carolina, Notre Dame and USC, everyone avoids disorders last week. Oklahoma and Florida State were re-entered in the ranking this week of No. 24 and 25. Seminoles were ranked in the pre-season poll and headed North Carolina of Zumer-Puls last week AP Player of Week Ta’niya Latson. In the last few weeks, Cowgirls have been in and out of the poll.
Michigan, Minnesota and Baylor fell out.
Oh, baby!
Tennessee coach Kim Caldwell gave birth to his first child a week ago and returned to the game of the 18th ranked Lady Volls against South Carolina on Monday night. Caldwell gave birth to Konor Scott a week earlier while dealing with the flu. She missed a game, a loss of 80-76 to Texas # 7 on Thursday, as assistant assistant Jenna Burtet filled as an acting coach.
Conference
The Southeast Conference had eight teams ranked this week, and ACC has seven. The big ten dropped out of five teams with Michigan and Minnesota coming out of the poll. The large 12 have four ranked teams and the Great East.
Games of the Week
Colombia in Harvard, Friday. Unbeaten lions will visit The Crimson in the battle for the first place in Ivy League. Colombia is unbeaten, while Harvard has a loss, defeat in the last second in Princeton.
No. 12 Kentucky in No. 13 Oklahoma, Sunday. Wildcats will visit the newcomer Sec Sooners. Currently, Kentucky is in the second place in the 6-1 conference ranking.
