Sen. JD Vance (R-OH) at a rally in Scottsdale, Arizona, Saturday, Nov. 2, 2024.

Speaking to supporters at a rally in Scottsdale, Arizona, Vance expressed confidence about the state of the race in the key battleground state, saying, “We’re in a very, very good place.”

“We’re in a very, very good place in Arizona, but I don’t want us to be lazy and I don’t want us to rest on our laurels here,” he said.

According to a survey by RealClearPoliticsTrump leads Harris by 2.7 percentage points, 49.1% to 46.4%.

Vance also mentioned the state Senate race between Republican Cary Lake — who was one of the event’s warm-up speakers — and Ruben Gallego, urging voters to push it “over the finish line.”

The poll shows Gallego leading by nearly 4 points, 49.3% to 45.4%.
