RALEIGH, NC (WTVD) — It’s no secret that North Carolina is one of several key battleground states. That’s not lost on the presidential candidates, who along with their surrogates have been a constant presence in the state for months leading up to the 2024 general election.

Democrats believe they can flip North Carolina for the first time since 2008. Republicans are on the verge of handing the state over to Trump once again.

Vance will hold a rally in Johnston County on Friday

Ohio Sen. JD Vance, the Republican vice presidential nominee, will hold a rally in Selma on Friday.

Vance is expected to address rising consumer prices, inflation and illegal immigration.

The event will be held at 95 Farm, 215 Batten Road.

Doors open at 3:00 p.m. Rally starts at 5:00 p.m

Presidential candidates also in North Carolina as Election Day nears

Both Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump will visit NC today.

Harris will be landing at RDU before her rally takes place at Coastal Credit Union Music Park later today.

She campaigned in three battleground states a day after delivering what her campaign billed as her closing argument in a speech yesterday in Washington, D.C.

The vice president will deliver remarks in North Carolina in the early afternoon before traveling to Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and Madison, Wisconsin for speeches.

Her visit comes on the same day that former President Donald Trump is also holding a rally in Rocky Mount at the Rocky Mount Events Center.

Trump departs from a rally in the swing state of Pennsylvania.

Vice President Harris will hold a rally in Raleigh at Walnut Creek

Vice President Kamala Harris and her lieutenant governor, Tim Walz, will return to North Carolina this week amid early voting.

Harris will attend a campaign event in Raleigh on Wednesday.

The rally will be held at the Coastal Credit Union Music Park in Walnut Creek, 2801 Rock Quarry Road in Raleigh.

Doors open at 9 a.m. Rally starts at 11 a.m

Walz won’t be in Raleigh, but will appear at other events around the state.

Walz is campaigning in North Carolina on Wednesday

Democratic vice presidential candidate Gov. Tim Waltz will hit the campaign trail in North Carolina on Wednesday.

The Minnesota governor will visit Charlotte, Greensboro and Asheville in a series of events aimed at encouraging North Carolinians to vote early for the Harris/Waltz ticket.

At 1:15 p.m., Walz will participate in a political event in Charlotte.

From there, he will fly to Greensboro around 2:45 p.m., where he will participate in a series of political events.

Then it’s on to Asheville, where Walz is expected to arrive around 6:30 p.m

Walz will deliver remarks at 7 p.m. at a campaign event in Asheville.
