LAS VEGAS (KSNV) — The VA Medical Center in North Las Vegas will temporarily close its operating rooms later this year to complete some needed upgrades.
A spokesman says the operating theaters will be closed from November 12 to December 22 for minor construction and to replace end-of-life equipment.
The closure was planned for the end of the year to minimize the impact on veteran patients. Only a small number of routine and elective surgeries were previously scheduled for this period, according to the VA.
