Utah puts Vladislav Kollyahonok on refusal – daily faceoff

On Saturday, the hockey club in Utah placed defender Vladislav Kolyahonok in refusal to be appointed to a branch of the American Hockey League of the team, Tucson Roadrunners.

Kolyachonok has been with a jute throughout the 2024-25 season, but has been in and out of the squad as a healthy scratch. He has not played for a month, last he found his name on the line on January 8 in a 4-1 loss to Stanley Cup defense champion Florida Pantheri.

Belarussian Blueliner appeared in 23 games this season, most played in the NHL after the 2021-22 rookie season, when the franchise was known as Arizona Coyotes. Kolyachonok has spent most of the previous two AHL campaigns. The 23 -year -old has posted two goals and three assists for five points, registering plus/minus -7, while an average of 12:20 ice time.

In 62 NHL Kolyahonok games, he posted four goals and eight assists for 12 points, with a career rating of -2. In 150 AHL appearances he scored 13 goals and 35 assists for 48 points, posting a goal in five Calder Cup playoffs.

Kolyahonok was originally taken from the Panthers in the second round, the 52nd in general, in the 2019 NHL draft.

Before making a jump to the professional ranks, Kolyahonok had a fruitful career with the flint birds of the Ontario hockey league. In two seasons, he scored 63 points in 107 games with Firebirds, winning a place for the first team of OHL All-Rookie in 2018-19.

Utah (23-22-9) is fifth in the central division, six points back from last place for Wild Cardon in the western conference.

Roadrunners (20-19-3) are in eighth in the Pacific Division of AHL, eight points back from the last place for playoff in the division.
