US Marine killed in the Philippine plane crash identified as California – Upi News

February 10 (Upi) – A US Marine from California has been identified as one of the four people killed last week in a plane crash in southern Philippines.

The aircraft with which a US defense contract provided the Philippines with intelligence, surveillance and intelligence support when it crashed in Maguindano del Sur on Thursday, killing three American performers and one Marine on board. There were no survivors.

On Sunday, Camp Pendleton identifies marine as SGT. Jacob M. Durham, a trained electronic intelligence analyzer/electromagnetic war.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Durham, a native of California, joined the Marine Corps in January 2021 and was promoted to sergeant on February 1, just days before the crash.

During his military career, Durham was awarded a medal for the Navy and Marine Infantry, a medal for good behavior of the marine infantry, a medal for a national defense service, a well -deserved mast and a naval airplane signs.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends and colleagues Marines during this deeply difficult moment,” Annunsia said.
