Officials again opened the western canvases of Interstate 84 in the southeastern Boyz area at about 1:50 pm. Aaron Snell, a state police spokesman in Idaho, told Idaho’s government.

Snell confirmed that snow and meteorological conditions were the cause of most clashes after 2.1 inches of snow fell in the region.

The snowfall led to a slippery trip on Monday morning for some treasure valley drivers. The Sheriff of Ada County Sheriff reported 81 crashes and 13 sliders between midnight and 9:30 am. The snow and the ice melt mostly later in the day.
