Universal Citywalk is beginning to prevail transformation with new shops and restaurants – San Bernardino County Sun

The construction walls have increased throughout the Universal Citywalk, as the outdoor shopping center to Universal Studios Hollywood begins an extensive transformation, which will see almost a dozen places to change places.

Several Citywalk stores closed in January, adding to the growing number of places that have been closed in recent months.

Mini Monster reluctantly announced the closure of the Citywalk Coffee and Boba store in October.

“After more than 7 years, Universal has decided to take over the space,” writes Mini Monster on Instagram. “We tried to stay, but this decision was beyond our control.”

The small chain hoped to continue to manage Citywalk’s place indefinitely after investing resources and energy in the store.

“The reality to be a small business is that you are often at the mercy of the landlord,” a mini monster wrote on Instagram. “Even when you are doing well, growing rentals can make it impossible to allow, and sometimes the landlord can simply choose not to renew leasing.”

The list of 11 recently closed universal stores and restaurants on Citywalk includes:

  • Abercrombie & Fitch
  • Chicken chicken chicken
  • Crepe Cafe
  • Dongpo kitchen
  • Fossil
  • Francesca’s clothing
  • IFly indoors
  • Mini -monster
  • Popcornopolis
  • Samba
  • Sparky’s

Four new seats have been announced or already opened in Universal Citywalk:

  • Escapology (Samba Replacement)
  • Insomnia cookies (replacement of mini monster)
  • Square of linear friends (replacement of fossils)
  • Hello Kitty and Friends Cafe (Replaced Francesca and Chicken Chicken Chicken)

In the coming months, additional new Citywalk seats and opening dates will be announced.
