United States: Fremonth Coalition Coalition to host fundraising in March – Canon City Daily Record

The wreaths in America are an annual event that many families, both military and civilians, are looking forward to saying “thank you” to the veterans who have faithfully served our country and have passed. Although the actual laying of a wreath is on months scheduled for December 14, the local veterans support groups have joined to optimize and encourage the wreath sponsorship process.

“All military organizations have gathered to work as one for major events in our district,” says the neighborhood of the veterans of foreign wars after 4061 and the veteran of the Air Force Wendy Warld.

Officially called the Fremont Coalition Coalition, the organization unites Cañon City VFW 4061, American Legion Post 13, daughters of the US Revolution, Fremont County Service and Royal Gorge’s Marine Corps We serve our veterans, both the current and the The departed.

“You don’t have to be a member of any of these organizations to be part of the coalition. If you love your veterans and want to support them, come to be part of the coalition, “Warrel said.

Last spring, Warrell talked to Tim Pearson, President of the American Legion Auxilar # 1, when the idea was challenged to unite organizations into one.

“We said we really need to work together because we are all here for our veterans. We just want to make sure our veterans are caring, “Warrel said.

The coalition was officially founded in October and the team is currently working hard, preparing for the 2025 wreaths in America.

“The knowledge we all carry is so important,” Warrel said. “There are many good resources … and now we don’t feel so burdened as to take it all on ourselves.”

From 1-4 pm March 22 at VFW, located at 215 N. Cottonwood Ave., the coalition will hold its first collective raising funds-ever with spaghetti.

Registration for the event is not required and community members are encouraged to give up their convenience of donation of $ 10. Dinner will include spaghetti, rollers, salads, drinks and dessert.

Any organization involved in the coalition will present a stand to train those present what they are doing and what a cemetery is covered for wreaths throughout America. The money raised from the event will be divided evenly between veteran organizations present, which will go to Wreaths for the event in December.

“This is a great opportunity for the community to enter and learn more about the gums all over America,” she said. “And learn more about our veteran organizations.”

If those who are interested in their presence cannot join the coalition on March 22, they can still donate to local veteran wreath organizations across America by visiting or sending an email to Worrel to Wendyworrel14@gmail.com S

In addition to raising funds, the coalition will also work together to support the Women’s Veterans Day on June 12 and Veterans Day on November 11 – and this is only the beginning.

“I am excited to see what else we can do for our veterans this year,” Warrel said. “If anyone has any suggestions for what you would like to see, then do not hesitate to let us know.”
