UNC Wilmington Downloads a bracket of Brooke 80-70 – ABC News

Wilmington, North Carolina – Donovan Newby had 20 points in the Unc Wilmington 80-70 victory over Stony Brook on Saturday night.

Newby fired 5 for 10 (3 for 7 of 3-point range) and 7 of 7 of the free throws for Seahawks (18-5, 8-2 coastal athletic association). The greedy Williams fired 4 of 4 of the pitch and 6 out of 11 of the free throw line to add 15 points. Bo Montgomery fired 5 for 8, including 2 for 4 beyond the arc to finish with 12 points. Seahawks raised their sixth consecutive victory.

Colin O’Connor led Seawolves (5-18, 1-9) in scoring, ending with 27 points. CJ Luster II added 15 points for Stony Brook. Nick Wooda also put 14 points.

Unc Wilmington took the lead just over five minutes in the first half and never looked back. Montgomery led his team as a result of 10 points in the first half to help Seahawks forward with 42-31 on the break. Newby scored 15 points in the second half to help lead UNC Wilmington to win 10 points.
