Greensboro, Khamari McGriff points from the bench led UNC Wilmington to win 83-59 over NC A&T on Thursday night.
McGriff fired 8 of 11 from the Seahawks field (17-5, 7-2 coastal athletic association). Sean Moore scored 15 points while shooting 6 for 12, including 2 for 4 beyond the arc and added 12 rebounds. Bo Montgomery finished 7 out of 10 of the pitch to finish with 15 points.
Janan Lamote led the way to the agias (4-19, 0-10) with 20 points and four assists. NC A&T also received 16 points, six rebounds and four assists from Nikolaos Chitikoudis. The loss is the ninth consecutive for agias.
UNC Wilmington led 42-25 at the half, with Nolan Hodge picking up 10 points. UNC Wilmington extended its lead to 72-46 in the second half, nourished by 7-0 scoring. Moore scored 12 points in the second half.
Next to UNC Wilmington is a Saturday match with Stony Brook at home. NC A&T visits Charleston on Thursday.
