UC -irvine Downs Nebraska in Opening – KLIN

Five tracks in the fourth and four in the fifth were enough for UC-Rvine to beat No. 24 Nebraska, 10-5, Friday at Talking Stick Fields in Scottsdale in the opening season for both teams.

Dylan Kerry was walking on Hurses’ insult, hitting 3-5-5 with double and RBI. No other striker in Nebraska had more than one hit. Meanwhile, Chase Call led anteaters, hitting 2-3 with two RBI, while Jacob McCombS was 2-5 with RBI and two pairs.

Mason McConaui took the loss, allowing six runways won in 3.2 passes. The junior right struck nine with three walks. Drew Christo also struggled, allowing four runs won in 0.2 feeds.

Hubes will try to bounce on Saturday night against No. 16 Vanderbilt on Saturday in Scottsdale, Ariz, in Sol River Fields at Talking Stick. The coating before the game begins at 6:30 pm with the first pitch at 19:00 on Klin.
