The protest comes as drivers claim that “unfair pay, increasing costs, algorithmic control, operation of travel radar and dynamic price manipulation” are the reasons for the action.

Drivers also protested at the end of the “unfair” fixed pricing where drivers pay the same amount, regardless of the duration of the trip.

The chairman of the private alliance of drivers of the Minhadj Uddin part said: “It is enough. Drivers will not be taken for granted by Uber anymore.

“The whole country is gathering and this is only the beginning.”

Western Midlands police were at the scene to prevent drivers from reaching directly to the airport, with taxis with the Terminal Road NCP’s parking lot.

The park was blocked until 9:00 pm when the demonstration was over.

The Birmingham airport protest was part of such protests in London, Manchester, Liverpool and Leicester.

Uber turned for comment.
