U-High forced to forfeit many football wins amid allegations – WAFB

BATON ROUGE, La. (WAFB) — A powerhouse high school football program in the city has been forced to forfeit seven games after rumors spread that the school was allegedly playing ineligible players.

According to The Advocate, the losses leave the U-High Cubs with an 0-9 record entering a Week 10 matchup with Port Allen. U-High was ranked No. 1 in the LSWA Class 3A poll until last week’s loss to Madison Prep.

One major takeaway from the losses is that Class 5A fifth-ranked Catholic High (8-0, 4-0) will now enter District 4-5A play Thursday at No. 10 Zachary (6-2, 3-1) with an unbeaten record.

The Cubs had defeated the Bears 27-21 in overtime on September 20.

The LHSAA confirms to WAFB-TV that a decision was made against U-High on Monday, but per the organization’s policy, details of that decision have not been shared. But those power rankings really reflect an 0-9 record.
