CHESAPEAKE, OH (LOOTPRESS) – A domestic violence incident on Oct. 30 left three people injured in Chesapeake, Ohio, according to the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened around 10:50 p.m. at a residence on County Road 1.

Authorities say Dimitri Callens, 26, of 293 Township Road in Chesapeake, arrived at the home to confront his ex-girlfriend, who he had seen with another man at a restaurant in Huntington earlier that evening.

An argument broke out during which Callens brandished a machete and attacked two people.

Harold E. Maynard, 53, of South Point, Ohio, was stabbed in the neck and arm, and Harold MA Maynard, 20, also of South Point, suffered a stab wound to the arm.

As Callens fled the scene, he struck Willa Maynard, 48, also of South Point, with his vehicle.

All three victims were taken to hospitals in Huntington, WV by Lawrence County EMS. None of the injuries were life-threatening.

Deputies later arrested Callens at his home without incident.

He faces three counts of felonious assault and could face additional charges as the investigation continues, according to Sheriff Jeff Lawless.
